Hello again and I would like to thank all those who were courteous enough to reply vis-à-vis my recent messages to your newsgroup. Unfortunately, after a quick perusal of said replies, I have come to the sad conclusion that my original statements were not too far wide of the mark. This I had scarcely hoped to credit and I derive no satisfaction from this state of affairs. Furthermore, and notwithstanding the foregoing, the senders of the replies were an assortment of armchair system-administrators, grumpy old bastards, little-englanders, impotent curtain-twitchers, bloody Phirangees, and people who are only on the internet because they [or a relation] knew how to insert a Freeserve CD [and where not to insert it, one presumes]. As those of you reading my earlier posts will know only too well, the above categories and types of people are, collectively, referred to as net-nannies. To these net-nannies who think they can read headers and get me kicked off, well all I can say is that there are upwards of 50 ISPs in Great Britain. These headbangers are deluding themselves if they believe that they can get rid of me that easily. I hav been on the net for eight years and will still be here in another eight years time, unlike the newbies who have chucked away a grand and a half on a PC from PC World which will have given up the ghost long before the warrantie is up on it. In short, and not to put too fine a point on the matter, my recent postings have only served to demonstrate.. nay, confirm... that the internet, and USENET in particular, is infested by a group of socially deprived sad bastards aka net-nannies. The unity between a net-nannie and his or her fellow net-nannie would put the Freemasons or the Grand Order of the Moose to shame and I am led to believe that these respected organisations have a system known as black-balling to vet, from their applicants, those who are psychologically or intellectualie prone to net-nannyism.
